0:07 – Taxi
1:’INSTRUCTIONS:’
This mission will start you on the ground away from the runway, and you’ll need to “taxi” along the runway. First, start your engine, this will take some time as the plane goes through a full startup procedure. Next, gently throttle up until you start moving. Once you start moving, throttle back a bit so you don’t build up too much speed. To turn, unlock the tail wheel and apply brakes to the side you want to turn to. Navigate along the waypoints until you reach the runway.

Plane engine controls:
Engage engine start/stop procedure (default E on keyboard).

Tail wheel lock/unlock – Set to a single button to unlock and allow the tail of the plane to swing.

Airplane has differential pneumatic wheel brakes with shared control lever. This means that if the brake lever is held and the rudder pedal the opposite wheel brake is gradually released causing the plane to swing to one side or the other.
비행기에는 공유 제어 레버가 있는 차동 공압 휠 브레이크가 있습니다. 즉, 브레이크 레버를 잡고 방향타 페달을 밟으면 반대쪽 바퀴 브레이크가 점차 해제되어 비행기가 한쪽 또는 다른 쪽으로 스윙하게 됩니다.
‘FOR EXTRA HELP:’
Taxiing in some planes is very difficult, and it’s common for beginners to spin around in place or get out of control. Try going as slow as you can at first, as the plane will be easier to control. If you’re having difficulty seeing where the plane is in relation to the waypoints, try zooming out your view or using an external view (F4 by default) until you feel more comfortable.
